Deshi Spice Restaurant

Deshi Spice opened our doors in 2012 at the heart of Tavistock Street, the main centre of Indian Cuisine in Bedford. Our love for great food and hospitality is something that Deshi Spice has always embodied. The good things in life – friends, family and great food is what defines us.

The dishes have been carefully chosen to showcase the very best in Indian cuisine. Many of the dishes are homemade recipes passed down from generations with the same recipe’s still being used to cook for family members to this day.

Our menu also include some contemporary signature dishes that you won’t find anywhere else and we welcome you to experience a truly authentic, Indian dining experience at it’s best!

Waiters are very helpful, and have worked there a long time. I always get a hot plate, which is a good start. The temperature of the food is usually hot, although can be just warm if you are in a big group, but that applies to most restairants. The flavour of the food is amazing.

Came here for the Woburn Safari and stayed locally. At first i thought it was an average restaurant. However after tasting what i ordered hats off to the chef absolutely amazinng food he got the spice spot on. Staff are very friendly especially Abdul Ahad the front waiter. If you ever are in bedford this place is a must try.

Visited here for the first time last night and was sadly left really disappointed. Service was almost nonexistent during the visit with the chicken being very dry. The highlight of this visit was probably the bread and poppadoms. All round a really poor experience and would not recommend.
