The Arc

At the Arc, we are an unashamedly fun place to be, if you giggle over a willy keyring then you’re one of us. We sell things we really love and we stock other companies we feel share the same ethos as us. It’s no surprise that as a fully female team a lot of the brands and artists we stock are also female lead. We have such a passion for what we do, the team are so knowledgeable on all our products from what the candles are made of the best way to frame a canvas. I’m truly, truly lucky that it hasn’t been just me on this journey, my team kick ass. The shop itself is in the gorgeous riverside town of Bedford. We have a big space filled with loveliness. Two giant glitter balls twinkle over our Home, Kids, Art, Vintage and Framing sections. We have a huge range of cards and wrapping paper as well as a large gallery wall either featuring exhibitions or our ‘Wonderwall’ of ideal gallery wall prints to walk away with.

The Arc always smells delicious with the food cooking from the coffee from The You For Coffee who we share the space with.

We think it’s pretty ace and hope you will too.

The Arc is a great place for little things that are just right for presents whether it's an everyday token or a birthday gift for someone special. It's also a great place to find larger purchases. They have an extensive display of better quality prints in many different sizes. They also offer framing using either off the shelf frames or made to measure ones. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is also an excellent coffee shop incorporated.

A brilliant art store in the middle of Bedford Town. The owner plus manager is a delight to deal with as are all the staff. With a coffee shop in the same room there is a chance to also buy coffee, tea and snacks once you're done with the art side of Arc. With course and classes on offer this place is always full of fun activity and making frequent visits is always totally worthwhile!

The Arc is great. Staff are welcoming and have a wicked sense of humour. The store combines sale of art supplies, vintage items and in vogue gifts while also promoting local artists and offering a framing service. The coffee and sourdough are top notch and the small but ambitious baking team have perfected the best cinnamon swirl in town and a divide lemon tart. They have also somehow managed to lift a very drab bit of town with a giant octopus. Can’t praise them enough.

I've had many pieces of artwork framed, requiring a variety of framing difficulties. You're missing a trick if you haven't shopped here! The shop itself sells a wide variety of vintage and new carefully curated beautiful gifts from candles, ceramics, clothing, bags, jewellery and every gift wrap/gift card requirement you could need, along with art supplies. Massive, massive bonus points for them advocating that love is love!
