The Verve is like a home from home. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious. All the staff are very welcoming, attentive and friendly, they really are very, very good. The Thai food in the restaurant is outstanding.
Stay here all the time and the whole team are fabulous especially Natasha. Naz leads the rest with total professionalism and Gabi the character always with a smile.

It's a builder type hotel, not the comfortable luxurious place it claims to be. It stinks of airfreshner, it's too strong and gave me a headache. Nowhere needs that level of stench if clean.
I wish I'd read the reviews and possibly more importantly the attacks made to those giving honest feedback before booking, my treatment makes sense now!
The broken window was fixed with Sellotape and the black mould just grew over the top. Everything is done very cheaply, the cracks are painted over, everything badly done and tired. I can forgive all that but the bedding being too small so your are touching the mattress and duvet I can't. I informed Natasha who checked and agreed it wasn't the correct bedding and brought more, she asked if I wanted to change it myself or should she? I obviously let her do it, which she did complaining the entire time, so I did help with the sheet for speed, was trying to work. I suggested maybe the duvet was in the wrong way and that could be why a third of it hung out. After she'd changed it parts of the mattress and duvet reminded uncovered, I asked her to switch the duvet cover, she needed to check with her manager first, bizare!
She showed me an alternative room, the smell of airfreshner was so strong I couldn't last a minute and it had the same bedding problem.
She informed me that she wasn't changing the bedding again as she wasn't housekeeping and I could put up with it or leave. She wouldn't get the manager and had no comprehension that as a guest I wasn't housekeeping either. Luckily the lady from the restaurant, Nazeema (hopefully spelt correctly) understood my predicament and that as a guest it wasn't my job to be making beds.
The bed was remade, the bedding didn't fit and I was forced to sleep on the same surfaces every guest before me had. Awful.
It isn't run with the guest experience, service or satisfaction in mind. I stay away a lot with work and have seen some sights but never have a been told to make my own bed or leave!!
Completely unreliable - avoid this hotel - they cancelled my prepaid room one day before my arrival which meant that there was little other accommodation available elsewhere and those that were available come at a premium price, meaning that I was out of pocket because of their incompetence (or greed) by overbooking their rooms. They even had to the cheek to say that they would refund my money within 14 days!!

Stop using Premier Inn and Travelodge. This Hotel is exceptionally good value for money. Small touches that make the difference. Food is amazing and nicely presented.
