The coffee was okay. We arrived about 4pm and were told they were locking up the seating area in about 15 mins, although the listing says they close at 5pm.

Lovely atmosphere and view of the lake but the service was shambolic. from misleading menus to announcing the wait time after paying. ordered the breakfast roll on the 'breakfast all day' menu and was told we could not as the breakfast menu wasn't all day anymore.. so instead we ordered a bacon and sausage sandwich. which was just one item shy of the breakfast roll. we then wasn't given a table number and proceeded to give another table our number leading to confusion. food was OK. probably won't be coming back

Took my friend for Afternoon Tea at Cloverdale at Priory Mariner today. What a lovely treat! Plenty of sandwiches and cakes and nicely set out. Service was extremely attentive and server came over several times to see if we needed anything else. Would definitely recommend the Afternoon Tea. Its going to be a go to for me.

A nice little coffee shop next to the lake. Plenty of outside seating and a few tables inside. Friendly staff. Hot drinks come in takeaway cups. Only had coffee but there looked to be hot food to order and a good selection of cakes.

Small cafe, lovely staff, water provided for dogs, long queues for the lovely food and drinks. Fair prices. Limited seating due to business.

We visited today and staff and service was good. But unfortunately the bacon, brie and cranberry panini was not as good as our last visit. Not much bacon it was chopped into little pieces and didn't add any flavour. Childrens jacket potatoe was not great, not left on the skin and more bean juice than beans. Other meals ok.

A wonderful place to completely disconnect from everyday life. Cloverdale Retreat is the kind of spot you visit once and instantly want to come back to. Peace, quiet, and closeness to nature – everything here creates an atmosphere that truly lets you reset.
The cabins are very well equipped – clean, comfortable, and cozy. You can tell the owners put their heart into this place. There are thoughtful little touches that make a difference – soft blankets, warm lighting, fresh-smelling bedding, and even local products in the kitchen.
The surroundings are stunning – perfect for walks, morning coffee on the terrace, or evenings by the fire. We were lucky with the weather, and the night sky was incredible – we could even see the Milky Way.
The service was lovely, very helpful but never intrusive – exactly how it should be. I genuinely felt like a guest who was being taken care of.
If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort with nature, far from the noise of everyday life, I absolutely recommend Cloverdale Retreat. It’s perfect for a romantic getaway or some peaceful time off the grid.

I ordered coffee to go.
The cafe was very clean; with plenty of seating inside and out.
The staff were polite and friendly.
I ordered decaff coffee. It was hot and the cups were a good size. The price was also reasonable.
There is plenty of parking, with disabled parking too.
