Staff are very friendly and professional. The eye test itself was very thorough and time was taken to explain the findings in detail. After the test the staff also took time to explain the different options available and were very helpful in helping to select the best option for me and to pick the most suitable frames for me. Overall, a fantastic service from fantastic people.

I had my eye inspection last Friday. The optometrist spent a considerable amount of time with me. She read my history then completed the tests. She reviewed everything against last year’s results and discussed them with me. I felt extremely well cared for. Stage 2: my prescription had changed only slightly. There was no pressure sales talk, I could have continued with my existing spectacles. However, as the lenses had some scratches (I am hard on them) I choose to have some new ones. Again, a considerable amount of time was spent on discussing options. I left extremely happy with the whole process.

Excellent service for years

I went in to Donne after having been turned away from all the big players: Specsavers, Boots and VisionExpress. My glasses had broken at the nose bridge, I didn’t have a backup pair, no contact lenses and my broken glasses were made abroad so the opticians had very little to go on in terms of helping me find a solution. I had an interview the next day and had to go into London- so I needed a quick fix. I was greeted by a very kind and understanding lady upon entering the shop and she referred my case to an optician who wasted no time in getting to work and trying to find us a frame that would suit the lenses of my glasses. She very diligently found a frame very similar to my broken pair, cut my lenses skillfully to fit the new frame and had the job finished for me in less than 20 minutes. I was very touched by the personal service and warmth of the staff at this establishment and I have now referred them to the rest of my family living in Bedford. Couldn’t have asked for a better service!

Very professional service! The investment in the latest technology is very impressive. Mr Donne was happy to explain every step of my extremely comprehensive eye test.

Recently bought hearing aids - excellent quality and service. Fully recommend. Then put them through washing machine - no good. The audiologist Kaz got them fixed outstandingly cheaply - working again can hear very clearly. 6 out of 5 stars!

I was in the care of Simon Browning for many years and the merger with Simon Donne has been such a positive experience. My experience this week with Saira has been nothing less than outstanding. With the aid of the superb equipment they have, she noticed the tear in my retina and sprung into action to ensure I was referred for emergency laser treatment which was done within days! Saira went above and beyond to help me and a special mention also to Shirley for all the running up and downstairs delivering messages!! The best Opticians ever and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I have been a patient for year's now and they are fantastic. I have moved to Norfolk but I'm still staying with them. Highly recommended if You are looking for an Opticians.
