Welcome to Don’t Get Locked In, Bedford’s No1. Escape Room as voted on TripAdvisor for Fun and Games in Bedford.

Located in the heart of Bedford, we have 7 (soon to be 8) different family friendly escape rooms, offering something for everyone.

Currently, 7 escape room games to choose from – games which we’ve designed for adults/young adults (60 mins long):
The Secret Hut
The Vault
Extortion
Gin & Panic
120 min game Audacious, again designed for adults/young adults and the only one in Bedfordshire.
Big Trouble at Christmas! 60 min game designed for younger children from 6 years old with adult guidance or suitable for adult beginners who want an easy fun room to start with.

We are proud to say that we design and build our own games.

Why is this important?

Well, you can be sure that you will never play one of our games at another escape room. You can also be sure that our rooms are completely unique. We don’t buy in games or puzzles, we painstakingly design and build everything ourselves, it takes longer and uses more grey matter but is so much more satisfying and great fun going through the design process.

In addition to our popular rooms, The Lock In Lounge, described as ‘simply the best’ by some of our customers, our room themed cocktails are a refreshing twist on some traditional recipes. The Secret Hut is based on the classic ‘Sex on the Beach”, whilst our Return to The Rock Cocktail is a take on the WooWoo.

Had a really fun evening trying to escape from the Gin and Panic room. Hugo the games master was brilliant and the whole experience was well explained and managed! Much more difficult than other escape rooms we’ve tried. Highly recommend and will be back to try the others!

VERY POOR EXPERIENCE - Both during and after the games. 2 hour escape room is a push. It's two random rooms conjoined by a trap door. The rooms are incredibly tired, and artwork is not even stuck to the walls (held on by double sided tape). It has such potential, especially the vault room being an actual old bank. But it so poorly run. None of the clues/games made sense i.e blue light on a ping pong ball. There was no continuity of clues verses game theme. The video at the start of the game explaining the story was incredibly dull. There are multiple safety issues, including screws poked through the wood, carpet coming up etc etc I could go on. Unsure who I phoned after (the extra day) after the company left an awful response to my husband's review. She was not willing to hear exactly what I was saying and couldn't have cared less. They assured me they have never had poor reviews and many people are serial escape room goers. No way is this place rated at 4.9 put of 5 and been running for 8 years. People clearly have LOW expectations. Obviously we would never return or recommend it to anyone.

2 hours escape room was just 1 hour rooms (Alcatraz and the Vault) back yo back. The place is dirty, tired and the worst escape room experience I've ever had. The pictures on the website are not the rooms. The actual rooms are just an ugly office with a few props.

We tried the Extortion a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. It’s a really nice activity to do with group of friends or family. It was hard enough to solve everything (with clues of course) and we got escaped 18 seconds left. A big thanks to Hugo who helped us to have an unforgettable experience.

It was our first escape room experience and would like to say it was the best. Hugo was a wonderful host and explained the instructions clearly. We had 6 players and had a fun evening. Will definitely try the other rooms as well.

We had a great time doing the Extortion escape room. Hugo was a brilliant host and helped to create a really fun atmosphere. We had 7 people on the room and it didn't feel cramped at all. We mamaged to escape with 42 seconds on the clock! Will definitely be back to try the other rooms out.

It was my first time trying Escape Room and it was a very good experience! Since it was my first time and it was just the two of us, we found it quite challenging to get out of the escape room within an hr😂! But nonetheless it was a brilliant date night out, 10/10 highly recommended! Also they have a bar at the sitting area and they allow you to bring the drinks in the room so that’s a bonus:)
