El Picante Mexican Grill

This place is a vibe. The lads know what they're doing, everything is low key, but delicious. Best mexican we've had since visiting in 2023. Not to be missed.

What a find! This is an unpretentious licensed cafe. The atmosphere was lovely - every table full, the server, Ellie, was charming and helpful. We were walk-ins and they accommodated us without fuss. Having lived in Texas we were delighted at the menu - proper TexMex and every dish had authentic flavours. I was beaten! The portion sizes are ample and colourful. Definitely be returning here!

Food is good. Very tasty. Delivery service needs improvement. Online order took 110 minutes to arrive. Rang them a couple of times and they have no idea when the food will arrive.

I like the food, I have ordered from here numerous times trying their different food and I have had authentic Mexican food in different countries and in the states. Things that I think they could improve on: Salsa - the salsa doesn't taste pleasant and is very bitter. I have always avoided using them, they need to improve their ingredients because the taste is very bad and doesn't taste authentic to any Mex inspired salsa. Burritos - while these don't taste bad, the burrito balance is very different to a traditional Mexican burrito. It has its own take on it which is okay but to make this taste improve they should make it closer to the real thing. The carne asada burrito was also very far from meeting any mark of that of a proper Mexican burrito and didn't taste as pleasant to eat. Overall: salsa and burritos could be better, especially the salsa
