La Terrazza

With over 30 years of combined industry experience, the owners of La Terrazza have come together to bring the clientele of Bedford a truly exquisite dining experience. Our Head Chef, Daniele Malandra has worked in Bedford’s most known restaurants and has accrued his chef skills while working at restaurants such as St Helena and the Plough at Bolnhurst.

In this competitive town where we are surrounded by amazing food and are spoilt for choice, we aim to stand out by continuing to use the best ingredients, employing a hand picked team and ensuring that our customer service is outstanding. We possess one of the most known and characteristically privileged locations in town for a great Italian dining experience.

La Terrazza is an independently owned restaurant, meaning we do not have the red tape of being tied to suppliers, as such our decisions are made on quality and reliability alone. If the supplies on your plate would not be fit for our family, we will not serve to our guest. We simply do this because we are passionate about food!

Our quaint, hidden restaurant is located just off the high street of Bedford, in walking distance to local bars and pubs. We have a selection of rooms which allow us to cater to parties of various sizes, or if you prefer to be tucked away, we can plan your evening to suit. Came here with friends. We aren’t from Bedford but stayed for the weekend. This restaurant is amazing. One of the best Italians I’ve ever been to. The cocktails were 10/10, the food was incredible again 10/10. I cannot fault it at all. If I’m ever in Bedford again I will be coming again and I’ve already told people to visit. Outstanding food and the service was fantastic as well!!!

Just had a really lovely lunch for my Mum's birthday. The food was absolutely delicious - really lovely presentation, great choice and so tasty. La Terrazza really exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything felt just right. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with elegant but relaxed decor — perfect for a comfortable yet special dinner. The food was outstanding. Every dish we tried was packed with flavour and beautifully presented. The pasta was fresh and cooked perfectly, and the seafood was spot on — tender, tasty and clearly high quality. You can really tell they use fresh ingredients and care about what they serve. Service was also excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive and made us feel welcome without being too much. They gave great recommendations and checked in at just the right times. It’s rare to find a place that delivers so well on both food and atmosphere. We left extremely satisfied and are already planning our next visit. Highly recommended — if you love authentic Italian food in a beautiful setting, La Terrazza is a must!

I came down to Bedford to catch up with a couple of friends and the whole experience was fantastic! We had a couple of nibbles to start which were a perfect portion size before our main course. Despite it being busy due to the same weekend as Mother’s Day, all the food came out fast. I had the seafood risotto which was incredible. Everything was fresh and full of flavour. Definitely recommend for a date night destination or to catch up for friends. I can’t wait to come back to revisit.
