My friend and l decided to pop in for lunch whilst attending Fake fest in Bedford Park. We both had the homemade vegetable lasagne and can honest say it has to be the tastiest l have had. Came up piping hot served with couple garlic bread slices and salad and perfect portion size. Cafe has lovely interior with Dawn and her staff friendly offering attentive customer service.
I don't know which brand of coffee they use but ours was disgusting. Two normal coffees were ordered, one was full of milk and could not taste any coffee and the other the milk was off and had a synthetic taste.
Stopped here for a coffee mid run and there was no one in the outside booth serving and when going inside the staff were in the kitchen stacking the dishwasher. I was ignored for around 5 minutes then I walked out. A lady then shouted after me “I was about to serve you, you know”. I have been in here multiple times in the past. Service and atmosphere has gone rapidly downhill.

Lovely cafe where you can sit and watch the world go by. Lovely coffee and the cake was very good.
First visit in a long time. Probably a couple of years.
Read the reviews. Anything in the last year pretty much sums up our visit today.
Everything pre COVID sums up our previous visits.
Inside for the menus, back outside to order, then back inside to sit.
Kitchen looked closed. A very mediocre breakfast that took around 20 minutes to microwave and assemble. Low quality “chip shop” sausages, dry & rubbery mushrooms. Poached eggs I think. The toast was OK.
Coffees served 10 minutes after the food and a reminder. 30 minutes to make 2 coffees?
We only live 5 minutes walk away, but until things look different, we’ll give it a miss.

Lovely food lovely caring staff enjoyed my jacket potato before our Chess Club.
The website states that the kitchen is open until 3:30pm in the winter months. I went today and was told at 2:10pm that the kitchen was closed. Perhaps its time to update your website? The service was mediocre at best. I do not recommend.
