Ready Steady Roll is an award winning Bedford based board game cafe and shop with a dedicated area to play games with guidance from our Games Gurus, lunch and homemade cake!

Our Board Game Library is a great way to spend the afternoon as a family, with a group of friends or as a couple. We have games for every need, a deep strategy game, a light party game or anything in between.

We can recommend the perfect game for you and then teach you how to play it! If you decide you love it we might even have it on sale there and then for you to take home.

How it works:

1. Book a table

2. Find us Here. We are down a little secret road, just off the A6 outside of Sharnbrook, in-between Templars Way and Park Lane. Don’t put our postcode into Sat-Nav as it doesn’t get you here! We have free onsite parking!

3. Be greeted and sit at your tables

4. We recommend and teach you any games from our huge selection

5. Enjoy table service and order cake, drinks and lunch while you play.

6. When you need to drag yourselves away (or after 2 hours if we are busy) come to the counter to settle your bill.

Very cute venue; plenty of games in a well thought out style. Didn’t get the name of the person in the shop, but they were very friendly and knowledgeable about the games - always asking people if they needed help picking one out. Good value for money, and plenty of drinks options. One thing I’ve had in other game cafes are bowls of sweets/chocolate eggs etc which I’d like to see in this place too (personal recommendation!) Overall, great place - definitely recommend a visit, we will be back.

Fantastic board game cafe! Plenty of different types of games. The owner went above and beyond to suggest some new games to try as well as explain all the rules. Very reasonable prices and even has some board games to buy! Definitely coming back ☺️

What a fabulous little place! There is so much choice with the games available, and the staff were very knowledgeable on games we hadn't even considered to play. The customer service was brilliant. The cakes were lovely and the price is very reasonable considered how long we were entertained for. There is plenty of parking to the front but it filled up fast, so booking ahead of time is the sensible option.

Cute little cafe, secluded and nice. Free parking right out front! Many cakes and drinks available for purchase. Plenty of boardgames ranging from light family games to heavy euro games. Tables are large enough for large games and drinks! Come here for a relaxing time!
