I joined Shift around 3 months ago. It has been the best decision! The attention to the client is amazing and very individual. The staff whilst being incredibly professional are so supportive and encouraging.

I joined Shift in September 2023. Gyms can seem like hostile environments with unwritten rules and behaviours. You often have to fend for yourself unless you are lucky enough to have a gym buddy.
Although some equipment has instructions, the free weights don't. I hoped and have found SHIFT to be different. I've been exposed to a variety of exercises that I have never done before. This has all been within a tiny group, led by a dedicated trainer who has worked at the best speed and right intensity for me. I'm 59 this year, it's my first time with free weights and bodyweight exercises, and I love it.
Trainers instantly modify any exercises if you have difficulties because of mobility to give a similar workout. There's also unlimited coffee.
My personal results in my first year were better than I hoped, with my weight going from 93Kg to 84kg and my body fat from 23% to 12%
I feel stronger, and I'm changing shape. I have a monthly personal check-in with my nominated coach to track my progress, and all the stats are going in the right direction. All the coaches are great and singling one out would be like picking a favourite child. I had some issues with my shoulder at the start; not only has this been physiotherapy, but my motion has improved.
I've also met a lovely bunch of people, both trainers and fellow gym buddies, who only care about me achieving what is best for me.

I have been in the 6 week program for 2 weeks now and I have really enjoyed being a part of it. The trainers are amazing, they are friendly, helpful and will help however they can to keep you safe and work to the best of your ability. They are always checking in, making sure you get the best out of their expertise and guidance. I have felt a lot stronger and more flexible since taking the various classes.

I joined SHIFT 18 months ago and have attended nearly 300 classes. During that time, no two classes have been the same. The variety and the expert coaching is what makes SHIFT stand out for me. Definitely the best hour of my day.

SHIFT offers a very different experience to other gyms I have been to. Each session is different and challenges you in a positive way taking into account your own fitness level. I always come away feeling reenergised. This really helps me maintain my mental health and wellbeing and balance with a busy day job - I would highly recommend

I’ve been attending shift for a few months and enjoy every visit, it’s hard but so worth while! They have packages to help most budgets inc starter sessions.
The staff are amazing, so knowledgable, I’ve had help with diet and fueling for endurance events.

I’ve wanted to get stronger and fitter for a while but wasn’t sure where to start and felt uncomfortable trying classes or large open gym areas. I took the plunge with a 6 week course, I’m half way through and the only regret I have is that I didn’t do it sooner! The coaches are outstanding, the other people in the small (max 4 per class) are just lovely, the environment is welcoming and encouraging - what’s not to love. If you have ever considered it……don’t consider it any longer.:..do it! You won’t regret it. Thank you to all the team and the members I’ve met! Caroline x
