Just a short walk from Bedford town centre, The Gordon Arms can be found on well-loved Castle Road, in the heart of Bedford’s Castle Quarter. We’d love you to consider it your neighbourhood hangout, offering great beer, tasty food and friendly service.

Our legendary Ent Shed has also had a modern re-fit, making it the perfect place to host events and private parties. Keep an eye on our events page to stay up to date with the latest live music performances.

We’re also dog-friendly, so your four-legged friends are most welcome to join you in our bar area and gardens.

The Gordon Arms has been a much-loved fixture in Bedford for many years, and after an extensive refurbishment, the pub is reopening under new management. We look forward to welcoming you to enjoy local entertainment, top quality craft beer and great food in our stylishly renovated interior and beer garden.

Recently had my birthday party here in the Ent Shed room which was fantastic. Amelia made the booking process smooth and easy, ensuring everything was set up perfectly. Millie, the bartender in our private bar, did an outstanding job keeping everyone’s drinks flowing and the vibe lively. The food was delicious, and the pool table was a big hit with everyone! Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I couldn’t have asked for a better celebration. Highly recommend!

Quite a big pub with sports tv and a private function room although the bar in that is small and limited drinks but all in all ok. Staff are great. 7/10

Came to this pub when I was younger, so I have very vague memories of what it was like. However, I went in a week ago and my oh my is it nice in there, a fantastic and lovely pub atmosphere, very nice workers. All round a great pub.
