Came here for dinner on a Saturday evening, staff were friendly and attentive. The food was reasonably priced but really good. Great selection of drinks.

Having been to this resteraunt many times before, we were very disappointed with the food on our last visit. The fish and chips was very poor and overcooked. The pizza was hardly cooked. However,the staff were accommodating and did exchange it. It was such a poor sized piece of fish compared to in the past. The whitebait has unfortunately been removed from the venue. Has there been a change of chef? We are not intending to return here.

Venue and staff attention is fantastic but the food has gone seriously downhill. Fish and chips were substandard. Pizza was not good, used to love the food here......

We were not very happy as a wedding was on in the week. Guests were throwing Frisbys around the car park andthe function wont finish until midnight so beware if you need an early start the next morning. Food is quite expensive.

Our experience from the start was poor. Took an age for the member of staff at reception to look up and acknowledge us. We booked through a third party for a room for 2 adults and a teenager. We were given a simple double room. When we flagged this, we were told that they would put in a z bed. This was not fit for purpose. My poor child spent the night either sleeping at an angle or on the floor, as a slight move and the legs would collapse. Lighting in the room was poor and you couldn’t open the curtains, if you did, you were viewed by all! Breakfast was terrible. Not topped up quick enough. I had a feast of 12 baked beans. There are lots of staff, but they aren’t being managed efficiently. Check out carried on the theme… no staff to complain to, just a box to put your key in. I guess they have your money, they don’t really care whether the high cost was worth it or not….. on this occasion… over £250 for a room was not worth it.

We stayed at the kingfisher for my sister’s 40th birthday. We had a dinner reservation in the evening and the service was excellent. We had some dairy and gluten dietary requirements which our server and the restaurant were great at accommodating for. The team made sure we had a great evening. We also had a great breakfast there in the morning. The waterfront location was beautiful and the rooms were really comfortable. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
