The Olde Watermill

The Olde Watermill Shopping Village is set in and around an historic Watermill.

There has been a Watermill on the site since 1086 as the Watermill is mentioned in the Domesday book and it is one of the oldest overshot Watermills in the country.

Over the last few years, it has been lovingly restored and is now home to over 20 unique and individual shops as well as the Mill House Restaurant, Tea Room & Cafe, an antique centre, Miller’s Shopping Arcade and a soft play area for the children.

Travelled for 35 minutes last Sunday only to find it was not going to open. They didn’t even put it on their website found out once there by a shop owner who also was unaware that the mill wasn’t opening, he found out once Facebook Won’t be going again

Wonderful experience at Santa's grotto. After a disappointing experience last year at MK I can’t recommend this place enough! They’re so warm and welcoming towards the children! Great job guys.

We visited Olde Watermill Shopping Village for the Santa Grotto. We loved the shops, the Christmas one in particular is amazingly stocked with beautiful decorations. Santa Grotto experience was super fun for our 5yo, we had a giggle. Will sure visit again also in the summer.

Visited last week, and although we couldn't find what we wanted in the main part, our lunch at the cafe was lovely. Nice to see the same owner that we saw a year ago.It was a busy lunch when we arrived, tables were spotless,staff continually clearing and cleaning. Food came out quickly and was hot and plentiful. A special call out to Carl who was helpful and always smiling 😊 it's nice to see friendly staff who take pride in their job. Will be back....

Quaint little shopping village with some interesting boutique outlets. Some currently closed due to the recent flooding. Good Christmas shop with all the usual bits and pieces, got a few nice beers ready for the festive season. Nice cafe on site doing the usual hot and cold drinks and snacks at really sensible prices. Definitely recommend a quick stop if in the area.
