Woody & Wool was born amidst the dark days of Lockdown in 2019. Forced to be at home, admittedly I didn’t struggle. A demanding career working 40 hours a week meant that I was out of the house all the time, single mothering to the one and only Woody, the love of my life and the reason I work so hard, every, single time.

So being forced to stay at home I GOT BUSY. I hear you wonder why Woody & Wool? I started by making big woolly wall hangings in my spare time, but I had to move on to my next material Clay. I just  missed it so much with Covid putting a stop to my weekly lessons. So, there I was at home, in the garden making boobie pots with Woody who was age 7 at the time. I dared to show Instagram what I was making and BANG, the rest is kinda history.

Every week I would make around 25 pots and ship them all over the country. I’d work in the days and clay in the evenings, because as we all know we had nothing else to do. The boob pots kept me so busy and I kept the post office lady even busier each week, I could see the dread on her face when I would turn up with boxes with tits drawn all over them! I would make it my challenge to get her to smile each week…. just about happened. I then found myself out of lockdown and I was approached to come and teach people to make their own boobie pot. “OK”, I thought with a big gulp.  I’m a shy girl, I cant teach, this is just for fun, OH SHIT. BUT I put my big girl pants on and kitted myself out and well…. home parties, cafes and workshops are now my thing.

I will come to you and as long as we have tables to work at. I’ll bring all we need, and we will all sit and make boobie pots! Step by Step, we make, we laugh, we giggle, we enjoy a new craft and we go home with big full hearts and a boobie pot that will forever make you smile. Sounds big and bolshy but I promise you that’s what I bring to the table. JOY.

Woody & Wool has been lucky enough to host all over Bedfordshire, and beyond, I’ve even hosted in the Cotswolds which was glorious! So here I am hosting workshops for Hen Parties, Stag Parties,  Big birthdays, baby showers, couples nights in and girls nights in. 

I will always be grateful to one of my OG workshop hosts – Bridges Espresso Bar. Becky challenged me to host a boobie pot workshop for 53 people and we have done it four times a year ever since! The nights are WILD, the laughter is raucous. I have her to thank, I really do, so THANK YOU BECKY.

AT HOME

Held at your home.

Have the table ready, cover it if you wish (clay wont damage but can get a little messy) and I will come and set up ready for us all to make. We need table space as if we were eating, so elbow space and of course space for your drink of choice.  I host parties for a minimum of 6 people. 

The parties last around 2.5 hours long and are held at a nice chilled pace. We all make together step by step, and of course I’ll help you if you need. No previous experience with clay needed at all, and trust me its so relaxing.

Are you looking for something a little different to entice customers in?

Most venues sell tickets inclusive of a drink or two or some nibbles which accompany the parties brilliantly.

The logistics work the same as home parties. We just need a tables with elbow space and I will come and set up. These work for your events directly, or you could host a hen do, baby shower – you name the occasion, I can do it!

The parties are normally around 3 hours due to the number of people that will be attending. We take it nice and slow and I am around to help the aprty
