Outstanding! Amazing service, very nice people. Incredible room. I got to use the spa at the end of a long work day - heaven! Pen & Cobb restaurant just fantastic as well. 100/100
Enjoyed a one night stay in a Monday at the Bedford Swan Thermal Spa Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. The hotel is situated by the river, offering some nice views and a peaceful atmosphere.
The room was comfy, clean and nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed. Everything I needed was provided, including good quality toiletries and tea-making facilities, an iron, hairdryer. The team tray had subs visits and a good amount of tea and coffee. The safe was a great size, but unfortunately didn't work. I didn't get round to reporting it. Two laptops and a handbag fitted in easily.
I booked into the spa. The thermal pool was a real treat, perfect for unwinding after a long day. There were steam rooms, saunas and another run there. Lots of different jets in the pool. The spa area was clean, calming and well maintained, with a friendly team on hand to help. There were plenty of loungers and drinks service on hand.
The showers had a drench bucket and were quite high tech with different settings.

Popped in for a coffee and cake mid morning.
Lovely coffee but the tea cake didn’t arrive so went in to enquire after 20 minutes. Got told they’re are going to make it now and bring it out to me. I had to explain that I had wanted it with my hot drink so the barista offered to make another coffee immediately so I accepted but asked if they could bring the coffee out when the tea cake was ready to avoid a repeat of before! It was a delicious tress cake though when it arrived.
Customer service was polite but not very proactive.
Beautiful setting with views of the river.

Very pretty, classic British hotel near a river with a park. Decorated in a cozy style. There is a small spa with swine, steam room, warm pool with jets. Food is ok and the it serve tea! Try this hotel in this town

In town for an event and looking for something nice to eat. We hadn't booked a table but the server found us a space and seated.
We waiting about 10 minutes for someone to take our order.
The drinks came 10 minutes later then waiting even longer for our starters. After the starters had been cleared it was probably 20 minutes until the mains come out. Finished the mains and sat waiting. At no point had we been asked if everything was OK or offered another drink. After nearly 2 hours we got the bill and left as was fed up of waiting so gave up on dessert.
Shame as the food had been lovely.
Don't think I will rush back though unfortunately.
