Roca Bedford

Went here for my partner’s birthday, and unfortunately, it was a letdown. Firstly we showed up 5 minutes early to our reservation and gave our name, but were somehow put down as a “no show”. The service was painfully slow, we had to ask twice just to get our order taken, and it took over 20 minutes for someone to clear our plates. The waitstaff spent most of the time standing around, not paying attention, even though the restaurant wasn’t that busy. We’d been looking forward to a great evening, but the poor service completely spoiled it. The food was excellent, but sadly, that wasn’t enough to make up for the experience.

This review is only for Sunday roast menu We have visited this restaurant for Sunday roast with family. I was disappointed with my meal, we ordered 3 chicken roast meals and 3 sirloin. My chicken was undercooked, it was raw inside. Yorkshire pudding was cold, like the rest of the things on my plate. From everyone who visited only 2 finished their meals. They have deducted 1 roast that was undercooked from the bill, in total we paid £205 for 6 adults and 1 child. Waited for over 40mins, there was another table excluding us. It was quite cold inside. Would not go again for Sunday Roast menu.

Food and service was really good. Great value for money! We were taken care by Joey who was very attentive and very friendly! He made our experience memorable always checking up on us. It was also, lovely meeting Chef Rahman🙌🏽 We will definitely be back again soon.

Food was really good but the service was awful. I think this was down to the large party that was being catered for. Ordered drinks at the same time as the meal and had finished our starters before the drinks actually arrived. It was a simple pint of beer!! Mains arrived and the plates from the starters hadn’t even been cleared. Ordered an additional side to go with my main meal which should have already been served with fries. The fries were omitted because of the additional side and I was also charged!! Ordered a dessert and this was just dumped on the table with no cutlery.. The only thing that was served in record time was the bill! Now please don’t get me wrong, the food was very good and the staff were very polite but I just don’t think they could cope with a very large party and the other customers..

I came here with my partner for shisha and dinner for the first time. I wish I had discovered this place soon. Juwel served us and he was very pleasant and polite. They recommended a shisha flavor (which I can’t remember the name of) but it was very smooth. Nice intimate spot, will visit again soon

First visit - great atmosphere! Lovely food and staff. Definitely the best place in Bedford for a Steak. I will be a frequent diner.
