Roca Bedford

Massive disappointment to be honest. Service was fine but was majorly disappointed by the food. The portion sizes, especially for the prices you're paying, are tiny. More importantly it's just tasteless. There was very little flavour to anything, I had to soak my food in salt and pepper just to feel something and even then, barely. Also the food served was clearly old food. It was dry and looked to be microwaved, definitely wasn't fresh food. To clarify, I tried the spicy beef kofta and beef tagliatelle. The calamari for starters was the only decent thing.

We came for Valentine’s and it was our first time. Atmosphere and aesthetic was lovely. Service was terrible. We asked for a jug of water when we arrived with our drinks, this never showed up. We asked for a fork with our meal, which never came. Then a knife and fork was dropped on my partner and no one seemed phased and apologised. We had to ask for the bill by 4 different people and waited half an hour just to receive it. Food was good however the steak dish was cold. It’s a shame as we were really looking forward to coming here and for 80 quid you would expect 5 stars across the board but this was not the case at all. Very let down.

Amazing restaurant made even better by the bar tender juwel, will definitely be back. Best food and service in Bedford. Closest Bedford comes to a night in Mayfair.

Great experience, great food, and overall great atmosphere. Our server Will was very attentive and helpful. We were here for a birthday, and they ended up coming out with a slice of cake and sparklers, singing happy birthday. Overall 10/10
